Sibiu International Airport Train Transfers

Sibiu International Airport and train station are not connected directly in Sibiu. Compared to other stations in the country, Sibiu's is decent. The main hall has an ATM, a Relay Press store, and friendly ticket agents.

Leave your bags at the 24-hour left luggage facility (5.90 lei per bag per day). There is a large, well-organized parking lot outside where passengers can catch a taxi or bus. You will only need transportation if you're going to the airport or a hotel on the city's outskirts.

After less than ten minutes on foot, you'll reach the Old Town by way of Strada Magheru (directly in front of you as you exit the station). The road ends at Piata Mare. You can catch the No. 5 bus from the train station to Piata Unirii, and the No. 13 bus will take you to the Astra Museum. Buy your tickets from the vending machine at the stop for 1.50 lei.

There are 315 kilometers between Bucharest and Sibiu via train. Surprisingly, no InterCity trains stop in the city, and only two InterRegio trains per day connect Sibiu to the capital. The fastest of these trains takes an unbelievable 5 hours and 25 minutes.
